Artist Operated was a show I curated for the Rutter Family Art Foundation's Commune Norfolk space. Commune, being a farm-to-table restaurant, wanted to give their artist employees an opportunity to showcase their own work as it fit the restaurant's concept so well. I was responsible for curating the show as well as executing a four week installation which was then painted over at the closing reception. The performance happened on my last day of employment as I left to move to the west coast. Charged with metaphor, the act of painting over the work was a reminder to myself and my former co-workers of the transience of life.
